Matt Chamberlain BA (Hons)

Matt has extensive experience in Aboriginal archaeology and heritage management throughout Victoria as an independent sub-contractor, as an employee with other established heritage consultancies, within the Victorian State Aboriginal Affairs Department, and as director of CHM Archaeologists and Heritage Advisors Pty Ltd, which he established in 2006. He has worked in all regions of Victoria, but particularly in the Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat regions, Gippsland and in the Northeast of the State. Matt has completed a wide range of assessments, from individual subdivision assessments, to park redevelopments, large-scale infrastructure projects and Municipal Heritage Studies. Since the introduction of the Aboriginal Heritage Act in 2007, Matt has completed over 25 Cultural Heritage Management Plans.

Claire Nicholls BA (Hons)

Claire is an Aboriginal archaeologist specializing in stone tool analysis. She has a strong background in heritage management in Victoria having worked as a field archaeologist for over 7 years. She also contributed, as a stone tool analyst, to a field school and resultant publication about the Aboriginal Community Heritage Investigations Program produced by Aboriginal Affairs Victoria in 2004. More recently, Claire has augmented her skills as a field archaeologist and analyst with roles specializing in the writing and editing of Cultural Heritage Management Plans and archaeological salvage reports.
